Ice spirit can offer a lot of value for only one elixir, it can be used to tank tower damage for the goblin barrel or it can be used to take out units like bats. Today we have Kidkid on the channel who has used this deck to reach over 7300 trophies!! The clue is in the name when trying to master a bait deck, you should try to “bait” out the opponents counters (mainly small spells like log) then you can punish them with your goblin barrel knowing they don’t have a good counter in cycle.
